Cue! XD

It was a dark and stormy night that Tamara found herself walking home alone on. Usually the fourty minute walk to her house from the library didn't bother her - but that was usually. On days where the sun was still shining high in the sky. The days where Tamara wasn't alone, in the dark. Above her the streetlight flickered on...off...on again...then darkness. The bulb must be dead, she reasoned with herself. Shaking her head, she took a breath and continued onwards. There was only another twenty minutes left.

A noise to her left startled her. She looked to the side, pausing on the sidewalk. Nothing...I'm just nervous...It's stormy, it's dark. That's all. Calm down Tamara she told herself. Slowly she began walking again. The noise didn't start for another five minutes. However, it did start again. She sped up, boots sloshing in the rain puddles. She could feel panic rising in her chest, causing her breathing to deepen. Fear. And then the voice, behind her, calling to her.

She was running then, all thoughts of the storm gone. She could hear whatever was behind her closing in - catching up. She let out a whimper of fear, pushing her body as hard as she could. An asthma attack was quite possible at that moment.

Tamara let out a shriek when two strong hands grabbed her by the arms.

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away there lived a fairy. She was a pretty fairy, with butterfly wings and sugar plum lips. She was as cute as a button, and her feet were smaller than the pads of a kittens paw. Nymphadania was an Earth fairy. The sort of fairy that brings about seasons, flowers, and other such things. However, Nymphadania had a small dilemma...

She was in love. With a human. Well, in fact that wasn't the dilemma. Fairies in her parts were known for inter species relationships after all - it was nothing new. No, what the real problem was, was the fact that He - the human she loved - was in love with another human! A marriage was scheduled for the weekend after next...

As much as Nymphadania wanted him to be happy, she knew she couldn't let it happen. Upon realising this, the tiny imp took her troubles to a few friends, for some help. It wouldn't be the first time a fairy crashed a wedding.

Nor the last.

She slammed the door, screaming at the top of her lungs, "You have GOT to be kidding me!"

As she stormed by the stand in the hallway her purse knocked her mother's expensive vase onto the ground. It shattered, but she couldn't bring herself to care. No one was home - when her mother got back, she'd say it was the cat. For now though, she didn't care. All she cared about was what that asshole had done.

How was she supposed to go to school tomorrow when he had...God. She would never live this one down. It was horrible. Humiliating.

Tossing herself face down on the bed, she let out a strangled scream. Maybe she could transfer? No, her mother wouldn't let her do that. Maybe she could get away with skipping tomorrow. Play sick perhaps...

The thing came hurtling from space and crashed into the building, engulfing it in flames. People screamed, running from white hot heat. No one was injured, thankfully. The building had been evacuated only moments before.

"He was right! He was right!" A sobbing woman yowled, turning around to seek out the man who had informed them of this incident, mere moments before it happened. She paused even in her crying, eyes searching wildly...

He was gone.

The flower opened, revealing something so terrible, it froze the onlookers. Massive teeth just dripping with drool spread to reveal several more rows behind them. A noise unlike anything from Earth rumbled from within the centre of the flower, grating against the ears of the crowed. Rich people - snobs. They had paid for this, of course. To bring something so alien back to Earth...The rich never thought about the consequences.

Alyssa shook her head. Disguised with an image inducer, she fit right in with the crowd. Idiots, don't you realise what you've done? She asked silently, looking around at everyone else. They didn't of course - she could see the shocked awe in their eyes as they watched the thing. No on expected it to start moving. No one except Alyssa.

She was already shouting for people to leave when two long vines stretched out and began dragging the plant across the ground.

She lifted her arms to enfold the beauty of everything around her, not noticing her foot was about to slip and take her tumbling over a precipice. She closed her eyes, giving a laugh. She felt so light, free. Standing there, so above everything else helped to clear her mind.

That was when her foot slipped.

Her breath caught as she rolled forward, tumbling through the air. It took her a moment to realise what was happening. When she did, she took a deep breath and balanced herself. Snow white wings folded into her body, making her move faster than she should. The new speed sent her hurtling towards the ground at double the origin pace - closer and closer to the jaggedly rocked ground.

She gulped and closed her eyes just before impact, spreading those dove like wings...

You have certainly gotten my interest. There is only one thing that puzzles me, if she is alone in the house why is she screaming and slamming doors? :)

Maybe she didn't want to slam doors and scream when her parents were home because she might get into trouble or something so she did it when no one was home? I don't know. But I thought it was good :) Loves it.

LOVE the fairy story!

You are a very talented writer. I don't know who told you your story was "bad", but it doesn't matter. Don't let it affect your relationship with your writing!

BTW, you can use Justin's extra cues too if you want! :)
